The Building Lasting Change conference or BLC is the Canada Green Building Council’s annual green building conference. BLC appeals to a broad range of professionals involved in all aspects of green building – those working in the manufacturing, design, construction, real estate and financial sectors.

BLC’s success is built on the calibre of the speakers and presenters – industry leaders from Canada and around the world that are leading the transition to zero-carbon, resilient and value-add assets.  BLC offers two different programming streams that explore the business case and the technical solutions needed to advance decarbonization goals and future-proof Canada’s built environment.

What to expect at BLC

Engage - There’s something for everyone at BLC. Kick off the conference in our National Issues Forum, where the market can explore, discuss and contribute to the conversations shaping Canada’s building and real estate sectors.

Connect - BLC also offers opportunities to network with peers, grow your green building community, and connect with new business opportunities. Registered attendees can download the BLC conference app to find new connections and book meetings. 

Learn - With two conference streams to choose from, attendees can explore the business case for green buildings or deep dive into the technical solutions leaders are using to decarbonize and add value to their projects. Together, the streams and keynotes are designed to uncover actionable solutions that will make decarbonization part of your business plan. 

Celebrate - Conference goers can also choose to attend CAGBC’s Annual General Meeting (June 18) and the CAGBC Awards Gala (June 19) where we celebrate the leading projects and influencers in Canada’s green building community.
