Karen has been employed with Terra for 27 years serving in the capacity of Executive Director for the last 20 years. She has spent her entire career serving the not-for-profit sector for 32 years, serving vulnerable children, youth, and families. Karen has contributed to the development of our community thorough her work on many collaborative projects and initiatives. She is well versed in stakeholder relations and building partnerships and is passionate about community engagement and building a collaborative sector.

Karen served on the board of the Edmonton Chamber of Voluntary Organizations as Vice Chair, served on the United Way Campaign Cabinet for 2 years representing partner agencies and is currently serving on the workforce campaign. Karen has been engaged as a peer review for Canadian Accreditation Council and former member for the Accreditation Panel. She has been awarded Women of Vision and is a recipient of the Queens Platinum Jubilee Medal.
