The Registration kiosk will be at the Telus Convention Center, North Building, on Wednesday through Friday of the AGM week. Ask questions, seek directions, and pick up your name badge for the AGM and your wristband for Gala there. BGCers are staying at the Downtown Marriott, the Hyatt, and the Fairmont Palliser all a short walk away from the Convention Center through the Plus15 internal walkway.
If you are flying in early and planning to work from the Calgary office, they will have open workstations available for drop in use. The Calgary office is located on the 26th floor at 2600-425 1st street SW, take the East Tower elevators up to reception; they will direct you to an available desk. If you will need access to the office on the Thursday or Friday, please pre-arrange with the Calgary admins.
Hotel rooms have Wi-Fi available, and the Working Room in the Convention Centre’s Upper Select Board Room will be set up with monitors, docks, keyboards and a printer.
The theme for the AGM is about celebrating the meandering paths we all take in our personal and professional lives – the quests we embark upon. A detailed agenda will come closer to the AGM.
We are very excited to announce that this year we have invited Sébastien Sasseville as our keynote speaker. Sébastien empowers leaders to lead with purpose and inspires people to embrace change, remain engaged, and win at the long game. An endurance athlete, his extraordinary accomplishments — which include summiting Mount Everest, completing the mythical Sahara race, and running across Canada — are made even more impressive by the fact that he lives with Type 1 Diabetes. Sébastien delivers dynamic messaging on change management, leadership, teamwork, and motivation.
If you have no Thursday night plans, or even if you do come by and decompress after the first AGM day. There will be a chill drop in zone with games and refreshments from 5-8pm.
