Alana Orell

Alana is a Vice President and Licensed Insolvency Trustee at MNP Ltd., specializing in the Consumer Insolvency practice. She serves clients in Surrey, the Fraser Valley, Vancouver, and Vancouver Island. Alana helps individuals and small businesses to overcome financial distress and regain control over their finances.

Before joining MNP in 2020, Alana worked at a local Consumer Insolvency Firm in the Fraser Valley from 2011 to 2020. She got a degree in Psychology from Simon Fraser University in 2000 and started a career in accounting in the same year. In 2004, she became a Chartered Accountant.

Alana obtained the Chartered Insolvency and Restructuring Professional (CIRP) designation in 2017 and successfully completed the Oral Board of Examination to become a licensed trustee in 2018. She also completed the BIA Insolvency Counsellor's qualification course in 2012, making her a qualified BIA insolvency counsellor. She has been an active member of the Canadian Association of Insolvency and Restructuring Professionals (CAIRP) since 2017.
Alana has presented on various insolvency topics, including a joint presentation with a local insolvency lawyer on "Hot Topics" at the CAIRP Spring Forum in Vancouver in 2019. In 2021, she delivered a virtual presentation on consumer insolvency issues in Canada to the Estate Planning Council of Canada.

Aron Hochhauser

Around the office and with his clients, Aron is known to be patient and approachable, always willing to take the time to thoroughly explain any legal issue that may arise.

Aron is Senior Counsel and a co-leader of Fulton’s Vancouver office with Lindsay Goldberg.  Focusing his legal practice in security enforcement, financial services and litigation in the banking, finance and insurance industries, Aron represents financial institutions and private lenders in all aspects and related matters of mortgage enforcement and debt collection proceedings.  He also specializes in dissolution of timeshare strata units and routinely represents homeowner associations with respect to partition and sale proceedings in the BC Supreme Court.

In 2023, Aron was engaged by the BC Financial Services Authority as an instructor for the Mortgage Broker Legal Update course.

Previously an associate at Epport, Richman and Robbins LLP in Los Angeles, Aron practiced in the areas of lender liability, foreclosure and bankruptcy.

Ale started her career as an IT professional working for large corporations such as Procter & Gamble and Johnson & Johnson. She also ventured into the entrepreneurial world working for boutique consulting firms when she moved to Vancouver.

During her last corporate job with J&J, she partnered with various commercial groups in the organization that exposed her to the world of Privacy management. Her area of expertise is operationalizing Privacy Programs for organizations that need to comply with Privacy and Data Protection Regulations around the globe.

She founded Kirke Management Consulting with the goal to help organizations excel in their business objectives by finding opportunities for growth within a strong privacy framework, while at the same time managing risks that could prevent their success.
