Yesim Sokmen (she/her) holds a Master of Art in Arts Therapy and a B.Sc. In Occupational Therapy. She is a trauma therapist with advanced training in methods such as Internal Family Systems and Sensory-Enhanced Yoga and EMDR. She is also a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner and a Training Assistant at Somatic Experiencing International. She has conducted clinical research in emotion regulation, mindfulness, therapeutic use of the arts and sensory modulation. She has published articles and provided trainings in these subjects. She has extensive clinical experience in various mental health treatment settings in assessment and treatment with diverse populations including children, youth and families. She presently holds the role of Mental Health Consultant for CASA’s Professional Development and Education team.
