CASA Mental Health is an established non-profit organization delivering holistic, culturally safe wrap around mental health services to Albertans aged 3 to 18 and their families. They provide mental health service to diagnosed children and youth, in between prevention and promotion. Join two of CASA’s staff members who will focus on the topic of anxiety and cover signs of anxiety across age groups. These include ways to help parents support children with anxiety, and outline some strategies FCSS workers can use when working with anxiety.

Session Learning Objectives:

  1. Understanding anxiety and its mechanisms
  2. Ways to recognize anxiety in children and youth
  3. Some strategies caregivers and helpers can use in supporting children and youth who struggle with anxiety.
