George Alvarez is a privacy consultant focusing on helping organizations understand and implement strategies where the sharing of information is necessary in their approaches to collaborative and integrated service delivery. George has previously worked for the Government of Alberta, in a variety of social service programs, as well as a Director overseeing privacy and information management, where he led the development and implementation of an information sharing strategy for use by government ministries.

George has presented at numerous conferences on areas related to information and privacy. He continues to be involved in similar work, and having recently developed an Information Sharing Framework on behalf of the Converge Mental Health Coalition, is now supporting its use in Alberta and elsewhere.
