Name
Upcycling Existing Large Buildings to get to Zero
Date & Time
Friday, June 2, 2023, 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM
Description
It is imperative that Canada's large buildings get to zero to meet our climate goals. When existing buildings near the end of their usable lifespan they often require a once-in-a-generation transformation that requires the decision to either tear down, or revitalize and adapt the existing structure. Using a case study + panel format, this session will showcase Canadian and International project examples & best practices that illustrate how to breathe life into existing buildings, reinvigorate their use and meet decarbonization targets.
