Date

Time

Description

The Pathfinders program is a community-led initiative developed in response to the 2024 Jasper wildfire, designed to strengthen social recovery through connection, peer support, and local leadership. Pathfinders are trained community members who provide informal mental health support, help individuals navigate services, and foster connection during complex recovery processes. This session will explore how the program builds capacity within the community by equipping natural helpers with practical tools such as Mental Health First Aid, suicide prevention, and system navigation. Participants will learn how Pathfinders creates a visible, accessible network of support that complements formal services and strengthens resilience through relationships, trust, and local leadership.
