                                                    Judy Smith is the Director, Community Investment and the FCSS program for the City of Edmonton.
Judy has been involved in FCSS provincially for many years as an active member and past chair of the Directors Network Committee (DNC), a representative on the FCSSAA Board and the Executive. She has worked on many initiatives including the Steering Committee for the Accountability Framework. Within all of this work she has continued to encourage and advocate that the rural and urban communities work together to ensure all the Albertans are provided with the preventive programs and services they need.
Judy is dedicated to working with others in her community and across the province to build impactful programs and services to strengthen the preventive social services sector and build the skills and knowledge of FCSS Directors. She was acknowledged in 2023 for her contributions to the social services sector within Edmonton and the province by receiving a Queen Elizabeth ll’s Platinum Jubilee Medal.
