Darrel Gregory joined Caregivers Alberta as Executive Director in October 2022, bringing more than 20 years of senior leadership experience in the nonprofit sector. He previously served for 15 years as a Director with the MS Society of Canada, where he led both national and provincial initiatives focused on community support and engagement.
A thoughtful leader and committed advocate, Darrel is focused on strengthening supports for Alberta’s over one million unpaid family & friend caregivers. He is working to expand Caregivers Alberta’s reach across rural and urban communities, ensuring more caregivers have access to the resources, recognition, and connection they deserve.
Through meaningful outreach and ongoing dialogue, Darrel is committed to understanding what caregivers need—and how best to deliver it. He believes caregivers are essential to both Alberta’s health-care system and its social fabric, and strives to ensure they feel supported, empowered, and valued throughout every step of their caregiving journey.
