Liliana earned her doctorate in Biochemistry at Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México, studying rotavirus strategies against the innate antiviral system under the supervision of prof Susana López. She joined the Greenberg Lab at Stanford University as a postdoctoral scholar in 2018. Her research uses molecular virology and the suckling mice model to study viral determinants of rotavirus host range restriction and pathogenesis.
