Dr. Jacqueline Tate is the Lead of the Viral Gastroenteritis Epidemiology Team in the Division of Viral Diseases at the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). She joined CDC as an Epidemic Intelligence Service Officer in 2006 and has spent over 15 years at CDC focusing on accelerating the uptake and use of rotavirus vaccines by designing and conducting studies to determine vaccine effectiveness in a variety of real-world settings, to identify reasons for diminished effectiveness in certain settings and examine strategies to overcome them, and to monitor the safety of these vaccines. Dr. Tate has published over 175 scientific papers in peer-reviewed journals and has given numerous presentations at scientific conferences. She has also served as guest editor on 5 supplements for leading scientific journals on rotavirus disease burden and vaccine impact.
