Justine is a 4th year PhD Candidate in Dr. Maya Shmulevitz's lab at the University of Alberta. Prior to joining the lab, she received her undergraduate degree with honors in Medical Biochemistry from the University of British Columbia. She has a deep interest in understanding how viruses function, and as such her research is focused on elucidating reovirus assembly mechanisms. When not in the lab, Justine enjoys hiking, cuddling with her two cats, and sipping wine in the Okanagan region of B.C.
