Hayato Harima is an assistant professor at Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology from April 2022. He belonged to Hokkaido university as a post-doctoral fellow for five years until March 2022, and conducted epidemiological research of various infectious diseases in Zambia. He is interested in dsRNA viruses such as reovirus, orbivirus, and rotavirus, and detected these viruses from wildlife and livestock in Zambia. His abstract will talk about one of the viruses, Nelson bay orthoreovirus, in this symposium.
