Dr. Jiang currently is team lead in Division of Viral Diseases, National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases, US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. His research interests include epidemiology, virology, immunology and vaccinology of rotavirus and other agents of viral gastroenteritis, with a particular focus on advocacy of licensed rotavirus vaccines and research and development of new and improved vaccines. He has served as an advisor for academic institutions, vaccine manufacturers, government and non-government organizations in developed and emerging developing countries. He has published more than 190 articles in peer-reviewed scientific journals and book chapters, and held a number of patents on rotavirus vaccine and diagnostics. He received many awards and honors, including the 2018 CDC Director’s Award for Innovation and the Walter R. Dowdle Award for outstanding scientific achievements from the CDC Chapter of Sigma Xi. He has served in various professional organizations, including editorial and review boards of various scientific journals.
