Dr. Liya Hu is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biochemistry at Baylor College of Medicine, Houston, TX. She received her Ph.D. in 2011 under the supervision of Dr. B.V. Venkataram Prasad at Baylor College of Medicine, USA. Her research program focuses on the structural biology of rotavirus, reovirus, and norovirus. She investigates the molecular and structural basis for virus replication and pathogenesis, such as glycan recognition, antibody neutralization, and viroplasm formation.
