Colleen Loader is the Director of Technical Solutions, now in her 19th year with the Canada Green Building Council (CAGBC). In this role, she plays a key role in the direction and development of LEED in Canada, as well as supporting the Zero Carbon Building program. She is customer-focused and keen on identifying market needs for supporting tools and guidance. Her oversight role for CAGBC technical committees and her long years working with the volunteers has given her a deep appreciation for the insight that members bring to the green building programs. Recently, Colleen has been overseeing CAGBC’s work on embodied carbon, both in how it is reflected in the green building programs and how the market hurdles to deep reductions can be addressed. She is currently spearheading CAGBC’s second National Embodied Carbon Summit.
