David has over 10 years of experience working in the public service, serving in senior leadership roles in both a Crown corporation and in multiple different ministries. Prior to joining the BC Public Service, David spent over 10 years working in the forest industry. His work with industry took him clear across Canada from the Gaspé Peninsula to Vancouver Island.
As ADM for the Resource Stewardship Division, David leads the division’s responsibilities in:
• water resource management;
• land use planning;
• cumulative effects assessments, the Forest and Range Evaluation Program, integrated monitoring;
• fish and aquatic habitat management;
• wildlife and habitat management;
• implementation of species at risk recovery; and,
• coordination of the Land Based Investment Strategy program.
