Peter Templeton is President and CEO of the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC), Green Business Certification Inc. (GBCI), and Arc Skoru. Peter works with leading organizations worldwide to increase the adoption and impact of green building and green business practices through standard setting, performance verification, education, and advocacy. With the support of over 6,000 member organizations, USGBC is advancing awareness and action on climate change, health, resilience, biodiversity, and equity across all sectors. Over Peter’s tenure, more than 100,000 buildings and communities have earned LEED certification and LEED credentials have been awarded to over 200,000 professionals in 150 countries. More than 8 billion square feet of building space is currently tracking operational performance and impacts in the Arc platform.

Peter previously served as President and CEO of the Cradle to Cradle Products Innovation Institute, as Senior Vice President for USGBC, and as the first President of GBCI.
