Explore steel reuse in construction with this interactive panel discussion, featuring experts from across the value-chain: a contractor and structural engineer both with experience in executing the country’s largest steel reuse program, and a policy-expert who is moving the needle for embodied carbon targets across the country. The discussion will share lessons learned from a structural engineer and contractor’s perspectives on employing steel reuse on Canada’s largest, most complex rehabilitation project: the Centre Block Project in Ottawa. Building from these lessons learned & technical reflection, the panel will explore the different policy incentives and how to design for steel reuse now, such are considerations for owners, architects, engineers and other stakeholders.
