Understanding and talking about mental health challenges is the space Tara Sudbury believes we all need to live and work in. She joined Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA) in 2013, facilitating Mental Health Education to hundreds of employees in different industries. Her passion for giving people the tools and knowledge to thrive is inherent in her role as Manager of Community & Workplace Education at CMHA Vancouver Fraser Branch, which followed a 30 year career in project management, fundraising and employee education. Her many credentials include Certified Advisor for Psychologically Safe and Healthy Workplaces, a Certified Living Life to the Full and Responding with Respect facilitator, Professional Instructor Diploma Program certification in curriculum development and certification in Choice Theory level 1 and a graduate of Langara’s Recreation Studies Program. Tara has learned about mental illness and recovery in her role as advocate, supporter and cheerleader for her brother who lived with Paranoid Schizophrenia and one of her own adult children who lives with a mental illness.
