Karen Larsen is the Human Resources Manager for the UBC Department of Surgery, where she provides HR leadership and service to faculty and staff. She is a keen student of equity, diversity & inclusion and is committed to life-long learning. Karen has completed the completed the UBC certificate in Intercultural Studies as well as the UBC certificate in International Development. For the last 3 years, she has been the co-chair of the Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Roundtable at the CPHR BC & Yukon association. She has worked as a facilitator with CUSO International for more than 13 years. As a seasoned HR professional and someone who is actively seeking to change her professional practice to be more inclusive and equitable, Karen is focused on seeking different perspectives to advance people and organizations.
