Duncan Davies is a 40-year veteran of the Canadian forest products industry and currently serves as President & CEO of Mosaic Forest Management, a role he assumed in May 2024.
Mr. Davies previously served as Chair of the Board of Resolute Forest Products, one of North America’s largest pulp, paper and lumber companies, as CEO of Pinnacle Renewable Energy, the world’s second largest producer of industrial wood pellets, and as the CEO of Interfor Corporation.
During his time at Interfor, where he spent more than 20 years, he led the transformation of that company from a small producer on the BC coast into the fourth largest lumber company in North America with operations in Canada and the United States. Earlier in his career, Mr. Davies served as an investment banker specializing in forest products activities.
Mr. Davies was one of the original directors of the Binational Softwood Lumber Council and currently serves as the vice-chair of that organization. He has previously served as a director of the Softwood Lumber Board, the BC Lumber Trade Council, the Coast Forest Products Association, and other industry groups.
Mr. Davies is a native of Victoria, BC and holds a BA in Economics from the University of Victoria and a MSc in Forest Economics from the University of British Columbia.
